The best omakase I’ve had in a Miami. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, and the chef skill is evident in every perfectly crafted, flavorful piece. Fresh, balanced, and innovative, it’s a standout experience. Highly recommend for sushi lovers in Miami.

Simply delicious! Having been to a number of omakase in Miami, this is one of the best! As many reviews have stated (eg Infatuation), it's no frills, but damn good! There's something special when the chef/owner is cutting the fish and serving you, which is not common these days. Here and Hidden would be my favorite!

Secluded in the historical and charming Las Palmas Hotel in the heart of Coral Gables, Shingo is the Japanese experience that pays homage to its hometown culture by bringing the best in art, culinary gastronomy, and colorful flowering arrangements. Their intimate setup serves as the perfect reserved area to host their all-hands warming Japanese service. Impressed by their welcoming spirit (very typical of their Japanese characteristic), the positive vibes and good aura will bless you with the correct mood to enjoy their delightful bites Salmon or Tuna Teka Maki, meticulously cut and seasoned by the acclaimed Michelin Award Chef, Shingo itself. Who will always make sure to sprinkle the right amount of soy sauce on each roll piece. One of the lovely owners and hosts, Kaori, will guide you through the sophisticated drink selections, not limited to their classic Sakes (Junkai Ginjo Kikusul or the well-balanced between bitter and crisp: Shintaro, or the Karakushi Honjozo), but also including the finest Valee (75 Mois de Cave) champagne, or a more Italian Bianco del Maestro Mastropietro White wine. All of them pair very well with their bites, but for me, the top winner is their organic raw matcha, for the first time, I really felt I was drinking the legit one, as it tasted so natural that you could really absorb all of its ingredients and tea flavoring. Their handcrafted art offering is composed of delicate pieces of vases that vary from flower bases, tea servers, or useful bowls; all of them are offered for sale; which makes perfect sense to hold any of the colorful flower arrangments curated by Shingo’s flower girls. ありかとう Shingo and team for taking us to the soul of Japan in the middle of Coral Gables.

The Shingo team presents an extraordinarily well thought-out progression of flavors and themes. Every detail is mindfully curated, and the result is an elevated Omakase experience that somehow feels effortless. I highly recommend the premium pairing selections. My highest compliments to Chef Shingo and his knowledgeable service team.

WOW. Welcome to an evening to remember! From entry I knew this was not your typical sushi restaurant nor your usual upscale establishment. This small semi-private, cozy dining experience was a wonderful 2 hour event. The staff welcomes you with a lovely glass (quite full too) of champagne and a warm towel to clean your hands. As you enjoy sipping the bubbles, you watch the sushi chefs start to prepare the fish for the evening. Watching their precision with the knife is something to be admired. Each corse was carefully selected, plated, and explained. If I may suggest, when they offer ‘extra dishes’ get another caviar roll! EXCELLENT Great date night-great anniversary dinner.

Considering it’s located in Miami, it’s the best Japanese food we’ve tried locally, together with mister omakase, where the fish quality is a bit higher than here. Here they win in atmosphere by far. This place in Japan couldn’t charge these high prices, the quality here is about 60% of a high end sushi bar in Japan, which is what they replicated here. Mostly everything was good, but the octopus and the uni were mediocre. The sake pairing is too expensive for what you get, next time we will get a bottle. The nigiri is also bigger in Japan, like 1.5 bigger. They still get 5 stars, we will come back.

15 course tasting Japanese omakase, you can taste the freshness in every bite. Some of the best tuna you will have in Miami. The 2 chefs are in action right in front of you and 11 more people max. Big eaters will think it’s not enough food to fill the stomach. But you can alway order extra sashimi in the ones you liked. We ordered some extra O-toro, Chu-toro and the Unagi with caviar. It was so delicious.
